Endorsements in the Bible

The folks and fellowships who interact through The Partnership Machine don't particularly endorse each other, because there is no Biblical precedent for using endorsements as a condition before Christians will listen to one another. Doctrinal statements are not a condition for joining the discussion here, because they aren't a condition for joining the discussion in 1 Corinthians 14:24-25.

1 Corinthians 14:24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: 25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. Saltshaker Endorsements Not

Partnership Machine partners don't interact because they like each other just the way they are, but just the opposite: they want to make each other better, and appreciate criticism designed to make them better.

Proverbs 9:8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. 15:10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. 12:1 Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish. 13:1 A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke. 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Partnership Machine Partners are not too polite, or "politically correct", to strive to inspire others by the highest principles they know.

Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

In fact, Partnership Machine partners welcome their ideological adversaries to a fair forum, free from censorship of the highest principles which participants know, because where truth and error are allowed to be fully and fairly expressed, and to stand side by side like in a police lineup, clearly compared with each other, revival will result.

1 Corinthians 14:24 But if all prophesy, [defined in verse 3 as building up, correcting, and comforting], and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: 25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

No church excludes sinners from participating! Nor do we exclude anyone just for being our ideological opponents. Disruption, division, and deception need restraint, but not legitimate questions. "Reasonable questions, unanswered, do not go away." ("Expelled", the movie.) "Suppression of the evidence ought always to be taken for the strongest evidence." (The trial of John Peter Zenger, New York (1735) 35, 38, 39)

This does not mean the Partnership Machine will limit the right of discussion participants to meet privately, with those in agreement with them, to strategize about their own lobbying or candidate-support decisions, in the same way legislators sometimes meet privately with their own party, called a "caucus".
